Production has slowed after the season started out with a flurry. Depending on who one talks to, the strong start was due to: 1) a low pressure system that passed through right before traps went in the water. 2) the phase of the moon. 3) the elimination of the clandestine habitat fishery. 4) trap robbers being jailed. 5) the oil spill……………on the other hand, fishery managers undoubtedly give credit for the strong start to their 15 year old trap reduction program, while ‘climate change’ alarmists, probably think its another ominous sign of global warming.
