According to the Miami Herald headline, 50% of Floridians live in poverty. I don’t even need to read the rest of the article to know how misleading it is. It reminded me of the preposterous add that American Express had out a couple of years ago, claiming 25 million children went to bed hungry every night in America. No one was dumb enough to believe it, but who was willing to waste their time disputing it?
Poverty is big business for liberal Democrats. The party depends on keeping people poor so they will always be dependent on big government for their support, and there are millions of votes and trillions of dollars at stake in the poverty industry.
How we could have half of Florida in poverty with the President who was going to ‘save the planet’, only the Miami Herald can answer. (could it be that rascal George Bush again?) Whether one can immediately understand the political point or not, the one thing you can depend on with the Herald is that the headline will always reflect their liberal bias, and promote the liberal agenda.
